About Us
ALBA AND KATYA
We are a Catalan and British architecture and interior design studio based in Barcelona, Spain. After having worked together on several architecture and interior design projects, we created AK Studio in 2021.
In all our designs we strive to find harmony between comfort and beauty. We specialize in designing and directing residential, hotel, healthcare, commercial, restaurant, and office projects in and around Barcelona.
We are passionate about helping you bring your ideas to life. We will take care of every detail, from initial design to final delivery, keeping your project on budget, and ensuring a quality finish.

We are fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan, and French and are committed to not only delivering a high-quality end result, but also making the process enjoyable for you. Our Team
We want to make the process as easy and enjoyable as possible for you, if the project requires additional help we have an excellent team of collaborators!
Technical Architect
Our Technical Architect will advise and help with preparing all documentation required by the Ayuntamiento (Town Council), check everything complies with Regional and Local Building Regulations, will review any structural requirements necessary for the project, and will carry out site visits with us to make sure the construction process goes smoothly.
Building Services Engineer
If your project is more complex or requires special advice, our engineers are responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of a variety of building systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems, water distribution, sewage systems, and fire systems. They work to ensure that these systems are cost-effective, energy efficient, and meet your needs.
Contractor
We have a team of experienced and efficient builders who we trust. This is important for ensuring that the construction process goes smoothly. By visiting the property with us beforehand to discuss any specific details, we can help ensure that any potential issues are addressed before construction begins. Additionally, by agreeing on the price of the full works before they begin, we can help avoid any unexpected costs.
